Plans to replace a large five-bedroom house in Rowledge with six family homes have been submitted to Waverley Borough Council.

The imposing property at 81 Boundstone Road will be pulled down if the application by Hawksmoor Homes is approved, with a cul-de-sac development taking its place.

A mix of homes inspired by housing styles has been proposed, with three and four-bedroom homes making up four and two of the properties, respectively.

All the housing proposed for the 0.58 hectare site is open market with the development being called “sensitive and well-considered” by the applicants.

They added: “It responds positively to the established development pattern and character of the surrounding area.”

One objection and a neutral response has been lodged at the time of writing, for more details or to comment on the scheme look for WA/2026/00563 on the planning section of www.waverley.gov.uk
