HUNDREDS of people descended on the small village of Steep on Tuesday to pay tribute to Royal Marine Richard Hollington, who was the 300th British casualty of the war in Afghanistan.

Mourners flocked to All Saints' Church to pay tribute to the fallen war hero, who hailed from Stroud.

Marine Hollington, 23, of Bravo Company, 40 Commando Royal Marines, was given a full military funeral.
