THE Royal Surrey County Hospital will soon bid farewell to its chief executive, Nick Moberly, who has been with the trust since 2006.

Mr Moberly has been asked to take over as chief executive for Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London, the timings of which are yet to be decided.

Royal Surrey chairman Peter Dunt said: “Nick has given great leadership to our hospital for the past eight years.

“I am very proud that Nick’s successes at the Royal Surrey have, in part, led to him being selected as the new CEO of King’s, one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals.”

Mr Moberly added: “My journey through the last eight years at the Royal Surrey has been an extraordinary one.

“There have been testing times but also many successes which would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment, hard work and passion of the staff, who it has been a privilege to lead.”

The Royal Surrey board will consider the options for Mr Moberly’s replacement and this decision, and the timing of his departure, will be announced in due course.
