FARNHAM-based builder’s merchants Rudridge has come to the rescue after a Churt riding school was burgled.
Mayfair Farm Riding Stables, located in Churt Road, was targeted by thieves overnight on Sunday, February 12, who made off with materials intended for the riding school’s new paddock.
Upon hearing of the riding school’s plight, Rudridge Farnham, based in the Coxbridge Business Park, donated five rolls of Wrekin multitrack geotextile membrane to replace the stolen items.
Mayfair Farm is a family-run business that gives people the opportunity to enjoy a country lifestyle while developing special relationships with animals.
Riding school manager Bex Peters said: “Everyone at the stables was incredibly upset following the burglary. Not only was it a huge financial set back but significantly affected our timescales for the work we are undertaking on the riding arena.
“We are so grateful to Rudridge for their incredible generosity. It means we can now continue with installing our new paddock and creating a great facility for many more people to enjoy.”
Paul Duke, branch manager at Rudridge Farnham added: “As a community focused company we were very saddened to hear about the burglary at Mayfair Farm Riding Stables.
“We are delighted to be able to help them continue expanding their facilities and look forward to seeing the paddock when it has been completed.”
