A YOUNG rugby player was airlifted to hospital after being injured during a game.

The boy, who was playing for Guernsey under-14s against Alton at Anstey Park, was hurt when he landed on his head.

He was flown by air ambulance to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke but later released.
