MORE than 150 people turned up to complete Bordon's Sport Relief Mile on Sunday.
Organiser Sue Lewis, from Mill Chase Leisure Centre, which hosted the event in Mill Chase Lane, said the run was "a huge success".
"Everyone completed one mile, with more than 50 per cent of people completing three miles, and some very determined and courageous people completing six miles," she said.
"The weather was sunny but cold, but the fantastic music motivated people around the course to raise their money for such a brilliant cause.
"Lots of families took part and ages ranged from babies being carried in backpacks and toddlers of three running the whole mile, to grandparents walking with grandchildren.
"I would also like to say a big 'thank you' to the Army who helped out on the day."
Although money was still being received at the time of the Bordon Herald going to press, Mrs Lewis estimated that around £1,000 had been raised for Sport Relief to help people in need in the UK and abroad.
