ALTON Police and the British Association for Shooting and Conservation have issued an open invitation to the rural community to attend a meeting to look at improving crime prevention in rural areas.

Starting at 6.30pm at Froyle Park Country Estate, on Ryebridge Lane, tomorrow’s meeting is seeking to engage with landowners, gamekeepers and the rural community to discuss ways in which the police can work better with them to help prevent crime and keep them safe.

The event will include guest speakers and updates by police officers and a firearms licensing officer. Coffee, tea and mince pies will be available.
