AFTER serving the town for more than 100 years, Whitehill Police Station - a victim of Hampshire Constabulary budget cuts - closes its doors tomorrow.

Whitehill mayor Adam Carew described it as "an extremely sad day".

Now anyone calling at Whitehill Police Station will have to use the phone by the front door while the nearest front office, where they can talk face to face with an officer, will be in Alton.
