A TWO-HOUR bike tour will take place around Bordon’s Prince Phillip Barracks next week.

Starting at 10am on March 5, the tour will take in the top part of the barracks, going past the sergeants mess, parade ground, Sandringham building and the assault course.

A history talk will be given by Bill and Chris Wain of the Woolmer Forest Heritage Society. The tour is open to all ages and abilities. Riders can take their own bikes or hire one and there is access to motorised and adapted bicycles.

The tour, organised by the Alice Holt Cycle Centre, is free (including bike use).

Naomi Metcalfe, community development officer from the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company, said: “The bike tour provides the perfect opportunity to view the buildings and the setting of Prince Phillip Barracks, as well as the developmental changes taking place on site.”
