AFTER considering the consultation to save Sure-Start centres across the county, the man in charge of cutting its budget insists that child protection is his top priority.

Hampshire County Council's executive member for children's services, Roy Perry, confirmed at the end of last month that all 81 centres will stay open, after cutting £6m from the council's £17m Sure-Start centre budget in March.
