AN animal rescue charity is in desperate need of a new home by April 1 after becoming homeless itself.
Chimney Farm Dog Rescue was on the point of expanding but is now on the prowl for a new home, following its current premises being sold.
Since being set up in 2014, the charity has rescued and re-homed over 1,250 dogs as well as undertaking spay and neuter programmes in areas of poverty to tackle the problem of strays at the source.
Two rescue pigs, Alfie and Arnie (pictured), will be joining the move along with the 10 to 15 dogs in the kennels.
They are looking for stables, barns or outbuildings that can be converted for dog housing, a minimum of one acre of land that they can exercise the dogs on and a storage area.
It will ideally have an existing house or somewhere to place a temporary structure for someone to live in on site for dog security and out-of-hours requirements.
But, the Guildford-based charity is open to all opportunities and is appealing to anyone who can help to [email protected].
