FEARS that The Sandrock pub could be the latest to close in the Farnham area have been dismissed by owners the Ei Publican Partnership.

The pub in Sandrock Hill Road closed its doors unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, prompting rumours that it could follow the recent examples of The Cherry Tree in Rowledge and The Waverley Arms opposite Farnham station in pulling its last pint.

However, the parent company of pub owners Enterprise Inns, Ei Publican Partnership, has since told The Herald the closure is only temporary.

A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the publicans at The Sandrock, Farnham. have currently shut the pub due to personal reasons. They aim to reopen to the public as soon as possible.”
