SUPPORTERS of a Liss charity have made a life-changing donation to a pair of sporting clubs.
Bosses at Petersfield and Blackmoor golf clubs have taken charge of a free, potentially lifesaving defibrillator.
The device was handed over to the latter last Thursday by Derek Williams of the Liss Heart Charity Trust.
The good cause has donated heart equipment and several defibrillators over the years to doctors, surgeries and institutions around the village.
The charity, which consistently raises more than £10,000 per year, believes the devices could be the difference between life and death on the fairways and greens of both clubs.
"It came to the fore when Bernard Gallagher had a heart attack," said Liss Heart Charity Trust supporter Colin Anderson.
"He was quoted as saying that every club should have one because it saved his life without a shadow of a doubt."
