POTTERS Gate CofE School in Farnham has been delighted by the generous support of local businesses for their Christmas fundraising fair this year.

The extraordinary support has meant that as well as the ever popular prize tree, where families can buy a star off the tree for only £1.50 to win gift vouchers and prizes, the school will be able to run a silent auction as well.

Prizes include a £100 Cote Voucher, a Mr Ben Maintenance half-day voucher, an £89 Eye Exam voucher from Leightons Opticians, £150 Toni & Guy voucher, Karma Kidz yoga classes, a children’s birthday party at Farnham Leisure Centre, a Benefit make-up party, a membership to the 200 Club at Headmasters (unlimited haircuts for one year) and Tech Recycle in Farnham is donating a HP elite-book i5 laptop with Windows 7.

Friends of Potters Gate Fair organiser Tristen Irvine, said: “Like most schools, we have always counted on the support of local businesses to provide vouchers and prizes to enable us to raise money for our school, but this year has been absolutely extraordinary and we have been astounded by the generosity of the donations.”

Event sponsors Charters Estate Agents Farnham will be on hand to help serve the food, Core Sports Team will be providing free games and entertainment for the children and Starbucks will be serving their special seasonal Christmas drinks. And hairdressers Headmasters will be setting up a pop-up hair salon at the event creating trendy hair styles for the girls and boys.

Santa will be arriving at 11.45am via fire engine and staying to hear the children’s wishes in the Narnia themed winter wonderland grotto – entered by climbing through a wardrobe full of coats.

The fair takes place on November 29, from 12pm until 3pm at Potters Gate School.
