AFTER months of planning, construction and a delay because of heavy snow, the artificial pitch at The Petersfield School was finally handed over by contractors this week.

Following the recent opening of the new tennis courts, this marked the completion of the second phase of the big sports upgrade programme at the popular Cranford Road school.
