A SCHOOL in Bordon was forced to close last Friday, after vandals smashed several windows and left the classrooms covered in shards of glass. Weyford Infants School, which was vandalised on Thursday night, has been the victim of a recent spate of occurrences. Headteacher Liz George said: "This is the fifth time since Christmas that the school has been vandalised but it's definitely the worst incident. "Previously, we have managed to tidy up before the children arrive, but this time it was just too much. There was glass everywhere- on the floor, on the desks and even in the children's PE kit. It would have been too dangerous to let children in." Pupils were turned away at the gates on Friday morning, and some were left upset by the incident. Miss George said: "Some of the children were really disappointed by the news that the school was closed and although the children are young, they have a very clear sense of what it right and wrong. It's very sad. "It's absolutely needless. We're having a very frustrating time." Two 13 year olds from Bordon have been arrested and bailed in relation to the incident.
