PUPILS and teachers of Camelsdale First School held their own Remembrance Day assembly on Friday afternoon, led by the Canon of Guildford Cathedral and County Field Manager for Surrey Royal British Legion, Peter Bruinvels.

Mr Bruinvels spoke to pupils about Remembrance Day, and presented the school with a certificate for their support of the British Legion and the Poppy Appeal.

Year-one and two pupils recently visited the Haslemere war memorial, year-four went on a trip to the Imperial War Museum, and house-captains laid wreaths in the school's Memory Garden, as part of the commemorations.
