TEENAGERS who have finished their GCSEs are being warned that if they return to their former school's grounds and cause a nuisance they may fall foul of the law.
Whitehill police Sgt Rick Davidson has highlighted a law which makes it illegal for people who are not meant to be at a school to go on its grounds and cause a nuisance or disturbance.
He is hoping that this year there will be no repeat of problems experienced in previous years.
Sgt Davidson said: "We are not telling these kids that they can't go to their school to ask a question or meet up with friends, but that if kids are going to go back to school and cause a nuisance, then they might be committing an offence."
