YOUNGSTERS at an East Hampshire school are getting to know the great outdoors thanks to a Petersfield businessman who has definitely made the grade.
The addition of an outdoor classroom means that learning will be fun at Liss Infant School come rain or shine. The £25,000 facility was officially opened last Friday and has been dubbed "The Ark" because of its ship-like shape.
David Banks, of InSync Technology, donated £10,000 toward the project with the remainder coming from Lottery Funds and the school's parent teacher association.
Infant school headteacher Teresa Offer has repeatedly thanked Mr Banks for the "serious donation" and believes The Ark will be a huge plus for pupils.
