THE Bourne Infant School officially ceased to exist on Wednesday, after councillors rubber-stamped a controversial merger with South Farnham Junior School.
It means The Bourne School, founded 150 years ago on a treeless knoll at the centre of the village, will now act as one half of the new South Farnham Primary School.
