ALDERSHOT & Farnborough 5, Gosport & Fareham 2. A superb hat-trick from captain Daniel Simmonds, playing on his home pitch at Collingwood College, led Aldershot's new under-13 team to their second decisive league win.

Simmonds opened the scoring with a 'Beckham style' free-kick from way outside the area. After Adam Gatcum's powerful drive was disallowed for offside, Simmonds, fed by Lee Faulkner, again beat Gosport's gallant 'keeper, Tom Price, from close range.

Gosport's strong striker, Lloyd O'Neill, soon replied, but Lee Faulkner, after forcing one great save from Price, hammered in Aldershot's third goal.

Gosport still played some neat football and Liam McCormack beat Etheridge from the edge of the area. But Simmonds quickly smashed in his hat-trick goal.

Brad Cann, another Collingwood lad, calmly finished off a Daniel Read/ Mattt Derbyshire move for Aldershot's fifth goal.

Ben Finn and Tom Dunbar, who have forged a strong partnership, kept a tight grip on O'Neill and McCormack, leaving Mark Blissett and Harry Oakley free to support the flowing attacks.
