THREE schools, have agreed to sponsor the two roundabouts at either side of the A3 intersection at Hazel Grove in Hindhead.

Amesbury School, The Royal School and St Edmund’s will take over the maintenance from Surrey County Council after being approached by Haslemere Town Council

The latter was concerned the main entrance to Hindhead and Haslemere, when approached from the A3, gave a poor impression . They had been left since 2011 when the county took responsibility for the intersection following the opening of the Hindhead Tunnel.

Now the three schools have agreed a three-year sponsorship deal worth £2,250, with £250 being paid out this year.
