AROUND 450 Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Guides and Leaders from across Surrey camped at Bentley Copses’ Frost Camp over the weekend of January 12 to 14 at Bentley Copse Activity Centre.

Scouts from 7th Farnham, 2nd Farnham and Farnham Explorers joined groups from Godalming, Woking, Guildford West, Reigate, Farnborough, Bookham, Caterham, Dorking, Aldershot, Leatherhead and Hampton.

They enjoyed a weekend of activities including quad biking, a rotating climbing wall, caving complex, a Scalextric room, circus skills, Jacob’s ladder, crate stacking, zip wire, archery, air rifle shooting, climbing and abseiling, bushcraft, laser tag but to name a few.

In the evening there was a campfire and silent disco.

Gemma, aged 17 from Farnham, said “I wish there was more time as there were so many activities” while Killiam, aged 12, added “I enjoyed all the activities as there was such a variety”.

Neil Wibberley, a member of the service crew, said: “The weekend was a great success but could only work with the volunteer leaders bringing their young people and also the volunteers and staff at Bentley Copse who ran the weekend.”
