This year the competition will be judged by two experienced writers from The Fellowship of the Pen. All entries will be judged anonymously and the judges’ decision is final.
Derek Keen, chairman of The Fellowship of the Pen, said: “I was thrilled with the response to the competition last year and the quality of the writing proved that there are many talented writers in the area and nationally. I am very pleased that the competition is being held again and I look forward to seeing even more submissions.”
Entries open on September 6 and close on November 6, 2018. Those short-listed will be notified by November 22. The winner and runners-up will be announced at a presentation ceremony at the Farnham Conservative and Working Men’s Club on December 11 when they will be invited to read their stories.
