BORDON'S milennium Season of Events took off on Monday, May 1, when 2,000 balloons were released to start the celebrations.
Children recited short prayers and readings and town mayor Jim Grieve cut a special millennium cake for people to enjoy. Other planned events include a challenge on the European Line Dancing record and a fete later in the summer.
