A RECORD crowd of more than 1300 people enjoyed this year's Milland bonfire and fireworks on the village recreation ground last Saturday.

Organised by the bonfire and fireworks committee on behalf of the parish council, the event has been an annual fixture in the calendar for more than 50 years and attracted people from far and wide including some from overseas.

Highlight of the evening was the spectacular 20-minute long firework display.
