A SEVERE weather warning has been updated to warn of persistent rain and potential flooding in Surrey and Hampshire today.

The Met Office warns heavy downpours are likely between 10am and 6pm on Wednesday, with the added danger of flooding where it falls on on already saturated ground.

People are urged to be aware of the potential for disruption to travel from flooding and some difficult driving conditions.
