ODIHAM councillors have responded to Thames Water in the latest episode of a long and smelly saga about persistent sewage flooding.

The water company replied to a complaint from resident Hugh Thomas, saying: “It is not acceptable that you had to call us many times, and I agree the flooding you’ve suffered must have had a tremendous impact on you and your home.”

Odiham Parish Council says it fully concurs and expects a full report followed by action to sort out the problem at North Warnborough Pumping Station.

Councillor Flemming pointed out that, despite reassurances, residents have had to face sewage flooding after heavy rain time and time again.
