SATURDAY’S opening of the latest exhibition from Shared Art at Haslemere Museum added a touch of spring for all who braved the weather.
A museum spokesman said: “As you came through the door one could forget outside happenings and concentrate on the wonderful array of really colourful and exciting pieces of more than 70 artworks.
“The theme of ‘Up the Garden Path’ as a starting point led many on, perhaps, unexpected journeys.”
Also on display is a collage made from MDF, cut-outs of “wellie” boots, decorated by each of the 10 local artists who are displaying their work.
“All 10 are displayed as if walking along the wall adding a nice touch of humour,” the spokesman added.
The artists featured are: Sue Fisher, Jan Scott, Brezetta Thonger, Rachel Vitolo, Doreen Anthill, Diana Hammaren, Christine Thomas, Sheila Curling, Tricia Hensen and Di Fowler.
The exhibition will run until Saturday, March 26, closing at 4.30pm.
