THE DFN Foundation says it will go ahead with buying the former home of Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle at Hindhead, despite the Undershaw Preservation Trust withdrawing its support to develop the site for a special needs school.
The foundation, which is funding a new school for Stepping Stones at Undershaw, said this week completion on the sale was due today (Friday). Its planning application for the historic house will go ahead, along with its plans for building a new extension alongside for Stepping Stones.
