A hair salon in Farnham’s Lion and Lamb Yard has closed after reportedly being evicted by its landlord.

On Friday (August 29), Hair Evo was shut, with notices in the window stating the business had been repossessed.

The notice read: “Take Notice. Under the terms and conditions of your lease, we as authorised agents acting on behalf of the landlord have this day re-entered and recovered possession of these premises, and the lease is hereby determined.”

The salon, which only opened in April this year, was run by Ollie Nobbs, marking his fifth venture in Farnham.

Mr Nobbs previously operated Blow-Heads opposite Elphicks on West Street, and also founded the Head Case Barbers chain, which started in Farnham.

At the time of Hair Evo’s opening, he said: “We are very excited to be opening in the Lion and Lamb Yard.”

Hair Evo occupied a unit directly opposite The Luxe, which also closed suddenly in June after a dispute with the landlord.

Following a court ruling, the Mediterranean restaurant and bar reopened a month later after a judge ordered the keys be returned to its management on a temporary basis.

A further hearing in October will decide the long-term future of the venue.

The owners of Hair Evo have been contacted for comment.
