CHRISTMAS shoppers will be able to park for free in Farnham on Saturday as Waverley Borough Council joins a national scheme to support small and independent businesses.
The one-day event is the first of its kind and encourages shoppers to shop locally in the run up to Christmas.
Farnham town centre is bursting with small and independent businesses selling not only an extensive range of everyday items but also unusual items and treats including locally sourced food, fashion, hardware and gifts. There is also a wide range of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants.
Free parking is available on Saturday, December 7, in all Waverley Borough Council car parks, which in Farnham include Central, South Street, Lower and Upper Hart, Dogflud Way (not Lidl), Waggon Yard, Riverside and St James.
