A TEAM of staff from Marlfield Care Home in Gilbert White Way, Alton, led by manager Lesley Brunt, spent four hours helping Sainsbury’s shoppers pack their bags on Friday to raise £645.

According to Marlfield activity co-ordinator Annabel Bennett, the money raised in conjunction with the Draymans Way store, will go toward the home’s amenities fund which “will help to provide days out, treats and all things fun for our residents!”

The Marlfield team have expressed a “massive thank you” to everyone who donated and got involved, and to Sainsbury’s for allowing them to collect.
