THE force was with Farnham Jubilee Church at this year’s Farnham Carnival as its Star Wars-themed float scooped the coveted Best in Show Shield.

Following the carnival, Sarah Maslen and associate pastor Steve Delves of the Jubilee Church were presented with the shield last week by members of the Farnham Carnival committee Colin Jordan and Mike Beale from The Hedgehogs, Chris Porter from Farnham Lions, and Graham Noakes.

The church had fought off tough competition to win the top award with their spectacular and imaginative take on Star Wars, complete with an array of space-age battleships and aircraft.
