FARNHAM Music and Drama held an evening of entertainment and music in aid of Bells Piece Leonard Cheshire Disability Service at the United Reformed Church, Farnham on Saturday, March 25.

Bands treated the audience to a variety of jazz and swing which really got the heart racing and the foot tapping, before two different orchestras offered some more gentle music to lift the heart.

“Some taking part were so young, it was a marvel to see their confidence and skills on violin, clarinet and cello, said Davina Scott, deputy manager at Bells Piece.

This was followed by two choirs, who sang “beautifully” added Davina, and a group of young performers who offered a piece from a drama they will be performing later in the year, based around people’s working life experience, and showcasing poetry and modern life.

“Thank you to Edward and Derick from Farnham Music and Drama, all their staff who supported the groups and made this happen, as well as the families and friends of the performers who supported the event,” said the Bells Piece deputy manager.

All the funds raised by the evening will go to support adults with a variety of learning disabilities at Bells Piece, and offer a wide range of extra support and opportunities for the group.
