CHRISTMAS is fast approaching and what better way to get in the spirit than by signing up for one of Phyllis Tuckwell’s Santa and Rudolph Fun Runs.
The fun runs will take place on Sunday, November 27, at the Devil’s Punch Bowl in Hindhead, Saturday, December 10, at Broadwater Park in Godalming and Sunday, December 11, at the Queen’s Avenue Playing Fields in Aldershot.
Everyone is welcome to run, jog or walk at whatever pace is most comfortable. The money raised will help Phyllis Tuckwell provide the end-of-life care which it offers people living with a terminal illness, such as cancer.
The fun runs have two new corporate sponsors this year – lead sponsor Net Technical Solutions and secondary sponsor Village Hotel Farnborough.
“We would like to welcome our new sponsors and thank them both for their support,” said Vanessa Beech, corporate fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell.
“Last year they raised £25,000 – enough to cover the costs of providing our Hospice Care at Home service for 11 days, enabling patients to spend their last days at home, visited by our nurses and doctors, rather than in hospital or at the hospice.”
Visit www.pth.org.uk/event-diary or call 01252 729446 to register, early bird tickets are £12 for adults and £5 for children (under 14s) which will be offered until October 31.
From November 1 these prices will increase to £14 for adults and £7 for children and they’ll be higher on the day.
Registration includes a Santa suit for adults, reindeer antlers with a red nose for children, and festive goodies and a medal for everyone who completes the course.
