DINERS and staff at The Lion and Lamb Cafe in Farnham had a pleasant surprise last week when Sir Anthony Hopkins popped in for lunch.

The Hollywood legend, best known for his role as Hannibal Lector in The Silence of the Lambs, is currently filming Transformers: The Last Knight - adding to rumours the blockbuster is being shot nearby.

Rather than liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti, the cafe would only playfully confirm that Sir Anthony enjoyed “homemade food made from scratch with love by people who care”.
