A PAIR of musical twins from East Hampshire are on the verge of the big time following a month of success on both sides of the Atlantic. Lizzie and Catherine Ward-Thomas could soon be rubbing shoulders with Michael Auger and his Collabro band-mates in the entertainment stakes. The twin sisters from Hawkley – who go under the name Ward Thomas – have made a big impression Stateside with their English take on country music. But they're also making a big name for themselves in Britain thanks to appearances on BBC Television and Radio and articles in the national press. The siblings have were labelled "ones to watch" by The Independent while only Dolly Parton kept the pair off the top of the country chart. Pre-sales of debut album Where We Stand shot up after the pair gave a live interview and performance on BBC Breakfast last Friday. For full story, see this week's Petersfield Herald.
