ALTON Camera Club kicked off its first projected digital image competition of the new season with some outstanding results.

Members were invited to enter up to two of their own images to be judged by Kev Sandall, a Southern Counties Photographic Federation judge for the October 3 competition.

Images were scored out of 10 points, with half scores included.

Alton Camera Club has a diverse mix of members, novice to experienced, young to old, male and female. Each with their own preferred photographic subjects which led to a wide array of images, enjoyed by all.

Mr Sandall gave each image positive criticism and feedback, awarding six members the top score of 10 points - Clive Chater (Virtual Skater), Barry Clark (Ready to Harvest), Jed Thornley (I’m Coming for You), Steve Gregory (Princes Street downpour), Steve Kirkby (Last Train to London) and Tony Cole (Catching Some Sun).

New member Ben Holloway received an outstanding score of nine-and-a-half for his first entry, ‘Morning Mist’.

Alton Camera Club has extended an open invitation to anyone of any ability, age or gender to join them on Wednesday evenings at Holybourne village hall at 7.30pm.
