BOHUNT Sixth Form’s open evening was attended by almost 700 people.

Students and parents had the opportunity to talk to A-level subject leaders and teachers as well as tour the facility, which is located on the site of Bohunt School as a separate building. They also had the chance to see the new outdoor gym which was added to the facility this year.

The current students of the sixth form performed and created artwork live at the event.

Currently, the sixth form offers more than 30 courses ranging from the sciences and core maths, through to humanities and performing arts and law and languages.

Clare Hodgson, head of sixth form, said: "After finally being able to welcome visitors again, I am delighted to see that our students are still our greatest ambassadors and an absolute credit to our school.

"Throughout our hugely attended open evening, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback, which reflects the effort and commitment that both our staff and students have to our community."

Neil Strowger, headteacher, said: "It was a pleasure to be able to welcome students and parents to our sixth form again after so many months of Covid restrictions.

"Our sixth form open events are always a highlight, but this year, more than ever, we were delighted to meet the potential new members of our community."
