A colleague of Jasmin Hansen-Brown has thanked all who helped raise £3,000 for The Rosemary Foundation and £2,000 for Macmillan with a sponsored shave and wax at Tesco in Bordon.

Jasmin, 25, works at the store but has been off recently for chemotherapy and blood transfusions to fight a rare and aggressive cervical cancer.

Fresh food manager Katy Gardner said: “Words can’t describe how we feel about Jasmin. She’s incredible, and she’s keen for us to use her situation to get the word out there that smear tests are important.

“If she hadn’t had the test, she wouldn’t have known she had the cancer and she wouldn’t be getting treatment. So many women put off having the test, but they shouldn’t. It saves lives.”
