DR ANNE Hunter, who has been chairman of the Haslemere and District branch of the Alzheimer's Society since its formation, retired from her post at the branch annual meeting last week.

Dr Hunter has been involved with the society since it began in Hindhead in 1979 as a national organisation and was one of the founder members.
