AN Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation was launched last week following the death of a 21-year-old Bordon solider, struck by a police car on the Hog's Back.

Joshua Brown, 21, was hit by a marked Surrey Police car answering an emergency call on the A31 Hog's Back road, near Guildford, at around 3.30am on Saturday, December 1. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The westbound carriageway of the A31 – towards Farnham – was closed between the A3 slip road and Puttenham for almost 12 hours while an investigation took place.
