WINNERS of a competition to design a logo for a spacecraft being built in Bordon have met the machine.
Sam Jackson, Megan Lane and Charlotte King wore white coats and hairnets to see Faraday-1 in the clean laboratory of In-Space Missions at BASE Innovation Centre, where space systems director Ed Stevens talked to them about testing the satellite.
Primary and overall winner of the ‘Mission Patch’ contest was Sam, ten, of Guildford, whose logo will go on Faraday-1. Sam, secondary winner Megan, 14, of Amery Hill School in Alton, and adult winner Charlotte, of Kingston University, will have their names stored on the craft.
