TO tie in with the announcement of its major 2016 fundraising event in its 50th anniversary year, the Campaign to Protect Rural England (Hampshire) has set up a new Just Giving page for its sponsored walk in north Hampshire.

The funding page – at www. just giving.com/cprewalk – is now live for donations by anyone who would like to support the sponsored walk to help protect the countryside.

Two circular sponsored walks of approximately four and seven miles are being held through woods and across farmland, beginning at Cliddesden village hall, near Basingstoke, on Sunday, April 24.

The event, for which walkers have already started signing up, is being organised by volunteer Hannah Houstin-Lacey, from Ellisfield.

She said: “This is a sponsored walk but we realise that not everyone is free to participate on the day but may like to support by making a donation or raising funds online via Just Giving.

“Walkers can also set up their own Just Giving page to raise sponsorship.

“Your support is valued and needed and every penny raised will be used in campaigns to protect the Hampshire countryside.”

Registration is £5 and forms can be downloaded via the CPRE Hampshire website. You can also call (01256) 381863 or 07956 308456 or email hannah houstinlacey@yahoo. co.uk

CPRE Hampshire also has a range of merchandise which can be bought online at www.cprehamp shire.org.uk
