GHOSTS and ghouls came out to play as Birdworld was transformed from a bird lovers paradise to a ghastly nightmare.

Visitors braved the Hallowe’en grotto (in the Temperate House) as they walked down creepy corridors into the unknown, while others took to the Hallowe’en train ride, where passengers were taught about some of the gruesome habits of the park’s larger birds.

There was creepy arts and crafts, face painting and a 20-minute traditional magic show with Peter Robinson in the marque and a Hallowe’en trail where participants were competing against one another for the chance of winning tickets to another attraction.
