THE Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company has organised an event for young people during next week’s half-term holidays.
The sports taster event will take place at the Garrison Pool Ground on Wednesday, February 17.
Open to young people aged between 11 and 18, the event will be split into two sessions - from 10am to noon and from 2pm to 4pm. It will showcase activities including archery, an assault course, biking, cricket, football, octopush, roller disco, rugby, snorkeling and Zumba.
The event costs £5 per person, and participants will need to complete a form and return it to the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration company before February 17. The form can be found online at whitehillbordonregeneration.co.uk.
Naomi Metcalfe, company community development officer, said: “The sports taster gives children the opportunity to try new activities and sports that they may not necessarily have the opportunity to learn at school. The event is designed to be fun, as well as keep children active during the holidays.”
