PLANS for a two-storey extension at the front of Farnham Sports Centre look set to be shelved, after a survey revealed a problem with the state of the ground, once a sports pitch on the former Gas Board Land.

But Waverley Council leader Richard Gates has stressed that £4m will nevertheless be spent on the centre, with improvements elsewhere in the building to compensate for the loss of the extension.
