BODON Infant School children welcomed East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds to their sports day.

Headteacher Matt Greenhalgh said the event, on Friday, July 14, went well, with plenty of spectators cheering from the sidelines.

“It was a fantastic day,” he explained.

“We had all the parents, and the children had a great time doing all the different activities.”

The event also saw the whole school coming together at lunchtime for a picnic on the field which added a “really nice community feel to it all”, the headteacher said.

As well as presenting the winners’ medals, Mr Hinds was also on hand to announce the overall class winners on the day.
