ALTON FC Under-10s football team attended a ceremony at the Princes Hall in Aldershot to pick up the North East Hampshire Youth League Sportsmanship Award for last season.
The award is made to the team with the highest sportsmanship score for players, coaches, parents and supporters, and Alton FC (formerly Alton United) came first out of all 74 teams that make up the 10 divisions in the Under-10 age level, averaging a perfect score of 10/10 over the 25 games played.
Coach Jason Ratcliffe said: “We are very proud of this achievement as it reflects really well on Alton FC, on our boys in terms of how they play the game, and on how the team is supported by parents and supporters.
